any accomodation near Vasco Da Gama station (Goa)?

We are currently staying in Calangute but our train to hospet is leaving from Vasco Da Gama in the early morning (7:55) on Tuesday. We have to arrive even earlier than the train departure time because our tickets are RAC tickets. So we are planning to move somewhere close to Vasco da Gama station. However, it seems lonely planet doesn't provide enough information about the accomodation there. Do anyone know if there is any accomodation close to Vasco da Gama station? Or somewhere close to there? so that we can come early to the station on Tuesday, check the chart and confirm our seats.

Please kindly recommend a hote close to the Vasco Da Gama station. Any of your experience-sharing or advice will be highly valued by us... thanks in advance

If I am not mistaken Vasco Station is in the city itself & there are no. of hotels in Vasco city. Just go there & I am sure you will get a room to stay. Sorry can't recall any names right now.

You should have booked from Madgaon station, the train departs madgaon at 08:15.

I can't remember seeing any hotels around Vasko station, but there are plents reasonable close to Madgaon.

In theory, if you have a ticket from Vasko, you should board at Vasko, but I think the TTE would wait till Madgaon before deciding that you've not turned up as most people will board the train in Madgaon.

At a guess, I'd say the charts will also be displayed at Madgaon station, but either way, the TTE will have his own set of charts, so just look for him if you decide to board at Madgaon.
