Accommodation: Kolkata & South India - Dec/Jan

My itinerary so far.

• Day 1 (dec17) – Kolkata
• Day 4 – Puri
• Day 5 – Chennai (day+ trips to Tirumala, Mamallapuram, Puducheri)
• Day 11 – Kochi
• Day 14 – Kannur
• Day 17 – Trivandrum
• Day 19 (jan4) – depart

Nothing booked yet, except international flights.

I’m fairly flexible with the type off accommodation I stay in (although budget is limited), and figure that accommodation particularly in the larger cities should be fairly easy to come by at short notice without reservation.

What about some of the smaller towns such as Kannur. How soon do I need to book here? Maybe I should just get on with it and save asking you guys another pointless question, but I guess as I’ve written thus far, and you could be bothered to respond, any suggestions made will be rewarded with lashings of heartfelt gratitude and face-licking*.
