Question Accommodation in Anjuna Beach, Goa

Hi everyone I've just stumbled across this website. Its awesome!!

I'm going to india for a couple of months in November. The plan is to be in Goa for Xmas / New Years and I have some mates coming out to meet me there for it. I don't normally book accommodation in advance but since it'll be xmas/new years and I have friends meeting up with me I want us to stay somewhere nice(ish) for a change.

I'm thinking Anjuna Beach. What's it really like?
I'm definitely not keen on Calangute and I'm not so sure about Vagator or Baga unless someone has good recommendation.

After something on/very close to beach. Cottage or hut. Not package tourist / not basic hut with no bed.

Can anyone help??

Thanks!!

weve just come back from Goa and stayed fro 3 nights at the Anjuna Vilas in Anjuna, its just down from the beach about 200 metres. costs 1500 per night for airconditioned room(worked oaky too) not abad room walls could do with a bit of a clean but was up to standards, the room was near the pool which was well kept and the overall area was spotless and well run. meals were cheap and good and were served in a covered outdoor area, overall a great place probably a little bit expensive for the room but it was the best place in the area and we had no problems there at all, we would go back there no hesitation

As Davey says it's a good place. Villa Anjuna website

Check the hotels section here on IM as well, as it is reviewed there.
