zanskar - bus from zangla to padum

Is there a state bus between these places. If so how frequent is it. Cant seem to find this info. Bus stand in Leh dont know

Don't think there is any, though you should get a shared taxi for it.

Don't know if this helps: There is a local bus from Kargil to Padum (if the road is open).

In May-2006 I travelled by the 11:30am bus from Kargil to Parkachik (about halfway to Padum) as the road to Padum was not yet open. Some details here.

btw: Lamayuru to Kargil is about 4 hours by local bus.

Yes, there is a bus from Zangla to Padum I took it last year. I'm not positive if it is daily, but I think so, it leaves around 7 to 8 in the morning, enquirer locally for the exact time and be early it left I do remember it left a little earlier than when I was told. I'm not sure on the Padum to Zangla times but I would guess it returns in the afternoon around 4 pm to Zangla usually bus schedule to small villages are so the villagers can go to the big town for a shopping day trip.

all good. got to pidmo - crossed the bridge just a as a work truck was passing. Jumped on and got a lift to padum from there.
