Trekking in Ladakh, End of September
Namaste,
Is it possible to go trekking in Ladakh at the end of september, begin of october? Tashi. |

Yes. That is perhaps the BEST time. The road to/from Manali may be tricky at that time, however. Make a reservation to fly back to Delhi from Leh.

You should be fine on shorter treks, but the Ladakh-Zanskar traverse will be snowed in (several passes above 5,000m), so not recommended.

Markha Valley. The standard Ladakh trek, but actually very interesting, with a different landscape every day.
Remember that there will be no tea houses open at the end of September, so you will need to bring everything. |
