Trekking in Ladakh, End of September

Is it possible to go trekking in Ladakh at the end of september, begin of october?

Yes. That is perhaps the BEST time. The road to/from Manali may be tricky at that time, however. Make a reservation to fly back to Delhi from Leh.

You should be fine on shorter treks, but the Ladakh-Zanskar traverse will be snowed in (several passes above 5,000m), so not recommended.

Markha Valley. The standard Ladakh trek, but actually very interesting, with a different landscape every day.

Remember that there will be no tea houses open at the end of September, so you will need to bring everything.
