No I don't think so. Some people may say Markha Valley is more difficult. I would only say keep a day or two extra so that it is not too rushed and you can make use of these as rest days if need be.

I've done both and I can tell you they're totally different ! Markha is a 5-7 day trek, it's only a question of walking. There are 5000m passes at both ends, but the rest mostly gently goes up. You can easily trek on your own with no agency with a small bagback (you can stay in homestays and eat at the numerous parachute tents on the way). Stok Kangri is 6000m peak. It only takes 4 days (3 if you are well acclimatized and very fit), and though it is not technically difficult, it is still high mountain, and you need to use crampons near the summit. The high altitude makes it a streneous hike. You have to get up at 1 or 2am the day you summit so as to reach the top early in the morning and get back down before the snow warms up. Conditions can change rapidly with the weather, there can be snow and ice at the top. You might need a rope and an ice axe in late september if it has snowed a lot. If you have no previous experience of mountaineering, it's probably a good idea to go thru an agency. Otherwise, you need to carry a tent, stove and food for the whole trip, plus warm clothes. You also need a permit from the Mountaineering Association (the agency can arrange it for you). That said, hundreds of people make it to the summit every summer (99% of them go thru an agency), and if you're fairly fit, you have good chances to make too.
