Sham-Trekk; Likir - Yangthang-Rizon

I am thinking of doing a part of the Sham-Trek.
I like to start in Likir and walk to Yangthang, stay overnight there; next day to Rizong and maybe overnight there. Then I like to go south to the Leh-Kargil highway and take any transport back to leh.

My questions:

Will Guesthouses in Likir, Yangthang and Rizong be open at the end of september?

How long does it take to go from Rizong to the highway (or is there a bus from Rizong to Leh)?

Hi,

Any reason for that particular trek? I am also there in mid to end Sept and keen on Hiking. I was more inclined to go to

Spituk->Rumchung-Rumbak-Zingchan(pick up transport to leh)

Any suggestions?

well, the reasons are just that rizong and likir are difficult to reach on daytrips from leh with public transport. there aren't any high passes and you can stay in guesthouse along the way.
