Thanks for sharing your info, we are 3-4 frnds also planing and want to go in June 1st week.
can u plz let me know for how many days you are planning and your plan. so i can accordingly plan leaves and get in for the tour....

Srinagar-Leh road should be fine by mid-May. Small vehicles came through a few days ago, but then it has been bad weather for two days so it's probably closed again. I think they'll have it open again in a couple of days and in good shape by mid May. Manali road usually takes a bit longer.

Hi everyone,

Its been a while i've been offline on indiamike and unable to answer most of your queries. My program this season seems not to be working for the month of May, but for June or July I am planning to do so with my friends. The dates are not yet finalized and I will post it later.

In the meantime, if anyone one is wishing to visit Leh via road/air, and do not have sufficient information on the accommodation and traveling front, do call me. I can guide you all with my friends and locals who can really be helpful out there in lodging/food and visiting around Leh.

Planning for 29may 2012 delhi-srinagar-leh-nubra-pangong-hanle-tso moriri-Pang-rohtang-manali-delhi, anyone from delhi wants to accompany. We have got self driven innova with us. Looking out for travel companions. whole trip will take 12 days or so.

hi i m also planing same trip from mumbai but i m alone.if there is some group may please advice me or join me i have a Scorpio and a vast driving experience. but i need like minded friends who like to long drives and have some experience of leh and ladakh.this is my first time to above said place.
