Need experts comments on Leh kashmir tour in 2nd week of June

I am first time visiting Leh and Kashmir thi 2nd week of june.
Here is what i has in kit as of now and need some expert’s comments to make my trip worthy and safe and also cost effective.
I will start from Pune by train to jammu on 8th june and reach on 10 June at 10 am there, we are couple with one more couple and their 3 year daughter with them.
I have done the return reservation on 19nth June train at 4.15 pm from jammu to delhi and planning to take flight to pune from there so that can make office on Monday 18nth.
I will be in Jammu at morning Sunday and will have to be back at Jammu on -19nth.
Now, i was talking one tour operator to get itinerary in Kashmir and leh.

Here is my queries
1, should i take organized tour from some operator or should do self organize as i have 2 ladies with us i am a bit unsure going first time there .

2.I want to cover most in these 5-6 days so which must not to b misses places should i go in Kashmir and leh,
I am thinking of 3 days leh , i day in travel to and fro leh in way if i can visit sonmarg ?

one day gulmarg (i have no option either to choose srinagar/phalgam or gulmarg so i choose from)
Please can you give be best possible option or should i come back from leh manali higway then i will have to take bis taxi to delhi to take flight on 17 june if that way is short to reach delhi rather than coming back same way?

If i choose self tour how to manage the travel and accommodation keeping in respect of family too i am worried as i don't want to make trip exp bad in any way.
What budget should I keep for these looking total 3 adults along with travel and accommodation and food. if I choose some tour operator?

No one can answer this question. It is you who have to decide what is best for you. Ideally you can plan but you will have to spend some time reading and planning as per your needs. Surprisingly most of the newbies expect a ready made plan for them on IM at no cost.



You should try Matheran or mahabaleshwar to cover most in 5-6 days. The less than 5 days thread should make sense to you if you read it.

The best possible option is stay in Srinagar/gulmarg/sonmarg/pehalgam and enjoy your trip and do not venture towards leh. Trust me this is the best option what I see as of now unless you add days and read more.

Read and plan

2 Lac should be okay for 3 adults for 10 days.
You question is wrong - Let us know whats your budget.

It is like what is the budget for a dinner for 2 in pune- for some 100 for many 4000 not enough for few its more than 10000
