My itinerary - Ladakh
My itinerary - Ladakh
I am Indra Pal from Hyderabad, a travel enthusiast, and I travel every year to Kinnaur and Spiti valley. This year I am planning to do the Leh circuit, and I wanted to get my itinerary / plans reviewed I really appreciate any help in this regard
I have three questions:
1) Is the below itinerary fine and doable? Any suggestions or tweaks so that we can cover more places like Tso Moriri on the way back?
2) I am going to book a white number plate Xylo. The agent who is providing me the car is a very reliable person to me, and I have had very good experience with him in the past.
i) Will white number taxi be a problem in ladakh? Or can I take it easily by just pretending that it is of some uncle. How difficult is it to defend and can I be 100 % sure?
ii) He is asking for Rs. 35000/- for the entire trip starting from Manali and ending at Manali - is it reasonable?
3) I am not going to book any accommodation for the entire trip. The agent says he will get it done on the spot and accommodation is easy to get. Is it fine? Or is advance booking required?
Itinerary
June 30th: Arrival at manali by Volvo bus, rest full day
July 1: Manali to Sarchu
July 2: Sarchu to Leh
July 3: Local sightseeing in Leh for half day (magnetic hill, river confluence, patthar sahib etc.)
July 4: Leh - Pangong - Leh
July 5: Leh - Nubra
July 6: Nubra - Leh
July 7 and July 8: Back to Leh (either a cannon ball run, or two day split travel with break at Keylong)
July 8 evening 5.00 PM is Volvo from Manali to Delhi

Highest nights last : skip the night in Sarchu , Nubra before Pangong Tso.
Been discussed many times Leh Pangong tso Leh is gonna be a crazy day why not throw another day and do this. Read THIS
Like vistet said keep it after the nubra day, Infact I will say skip pangong tso if you do not have time.
About hotel accommodation - you will find them on the run do not worry much unless you are a fussy traveler who wants a classy hotel every time.

That would be a long long day. I wouldnt mind skipping local sight seeing in favor of 2 days for pangong and nubra each. Dont even think of spending less than 2 days on each.
