Motorcycle Trip to Leh/Ladakh

Hi, I am planning a Motorcycle Trip to Leh/Ladakh from Sep 10 onwards, Via Chandigarh-Manali-Leh(I am from Mumbai) and will arrive with my bike by train.

@shutterbug - Thnx.. yeah Leh has been the dream destination for all bikers.. have been puttin it off since the last two years.. gonna make it dis time..

i am also gonna be there and also a few other (9-10) xBhp.com members. so all the ppl going there in the first three weeks will see some bikes with xBhp stickers.

i m trying to do delhi-leh via manali from a longggg time.. i was bout to leave in july..but everytime something was happening.. so gettingg delayeddd... so i m thinking that i might leave around 10-15th of september... what kind of weather to expect around this time????
around septem-october!

@harry singh: Friend, thats how life is....I have just been to leh and back. Just 4 days is all i had but extended into 5 days. But You will go there my friend too....
In september, expect some cool temperature around 10-15September. Weather in evenings get really cold and chilly. So carry some warm ...warm winter clothes...
But do not, I repeat do not get into October, as you will experience sudden change in weather and its going to wintery cold.....

I just completed a trip this year with my wife.

Ambala - Manali - back to Jammu(Khoksar Brigde was broken) - Srinagar - Sonamarg - Mulbek - Kargil - Leh - Sarchu - Keylong - Manali - Jammu !!!!!

-----Just the 2 of us on our Royal Enfield - Electra(350)------

I wanna go back, but this time in a group for more adventure.

So those who wanna go send me a message so that we can plan a final route plan and dates convinient to ALL and then the bikes will roar.

Hie everyone... Even i completed Delhi-leh on my enfield...this sep.. we left on 27th of sep.and came back on 9th of october... on 31st of oct i was admttd in hospital due to low haemoglobin..now only im fine and im writing here bout my trip.. when my haemoglobin got fine,i realized tat in my right eye,white light seemed to be very bright,sunlight as well..brain mri was done,and a tumour was detected on the right side near the optical nerve..its been such a bad time after having such a wonderful time on the trip..my brain surgery was done,tumour was removed..nd my staplers were just removed last week..so im doing better now,still recovering..but still not allowed to drive my Jaaneman(my enfield) for some time..
for trip..route v took was delhi-manali-leh-kargil-drass-srinagar-jammu-delhi...the max i ride was like srinagar to delhi wid just 3 of max rest at jammu,wid normal haults.... but it was a wonderful experience,specially Khardungla..top of the world..as soon as v reached khardungla,i kissed my bike and went straight into the army cabins bcos it was chilling... but overall amazing.. 13 days,2900kms..without a single punture and ne problem on my 1991 model Enfield..
