Motorcycle expedition in leh region
hi
we 9 friends planing to take biking expedition in leh region,we start from delhi onjun 15 th on bikes and reach manali and start exploring mainly spiti vally,pong and nubra vally
total 15 days,staying in tents and preparing food.
please clarify me
1) do we take any prior permissions
2) whether the starting time is correct or not
3) the bikes home registration will do there or not
4) is it safe to tent on road side
i want do this leisurely with out any route map and with out any destination with small treks
suggestions, advises, and any type of information is warmly welcome

you will need permits for pangong tso, nubra - please check other threads for details

What do you mean by correct? In terms of snow? well no one can predict but then looks like a good bet.
3) the bikes home registration will do there or not
Yes- take all original docs , including PUC and Insurance. Take 3/4 photo copies which you are required to submit.
4) is it safe to tent on road side

Bike rides - Kashmir to Leh and Sikkim, Jungle safaris - Corbett,Chikhaldara, Kanha and Gorumara. Traveled through MP, Himachal, J&K, Maharashtra, W.Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Goa, Karnataka, AP . . . Yet feel so New to traveling in India.
