Manali - Leh : 26th July 2009

Greetings from fellow traveler!

We (2 friends and I) are planning a road trip (on Enfield's) from Manali to Leh from the 26th of July, 2009 till 1st August. We are looking for fellow travelers who are planning to go to Leh from Manali in that week. Let me know if anyone's going there around that time.

Can't wait to go to Leh after reading all these posts..

We are also in a group of 5 planning to leave for Leh on the 26th Morning. We are reaching Manali on 25th morning. We are in Leh for exactly the same period i.e. 4 days till 1st August.

Please find a brief itinerary:-

25th July (Saturday) : Manali (After Delhi-Manali Volvo bus on 24th July)

26th July (Sunday): Sarchu (Manali-Leh Shared Jeep via Sarchu)

27th July (Monday Evening): Would be reaching Leh.
We plan to spend 4 days (28, 29, 30 31 July (Tuesday - Friday)) in Leh. We will be in Leh till 1st August (Saturday) morning
In and around Leh we plan to visit some of the following places (whatever is feasible)
- Pangong Pso lake
- Nubra valley
- Pso Moriri lake
- Local sight seeing in Leh

1st August: Leh-Kargil (in semi deluxe bus or a shared car)

2nd August: Kargil-Srinagar

5th August: Srinagar-Delhi (flight)

We could definitely share our plans and research (if I may call it so ), to come out with the best plan
