Hi to all.
i am vikram and mooving to leh on 4th sep09 for 12 days trip to leh by road from chandigarh to manali to leh .. and we will cover manali---chandretaal lake --keylong-- --sarchoo--leh--- nubra vally --khardung-la -- diskit---pangong lake if will get time then tso-moreri lake-- and some more places aroud leh.. and we are mooving with rented s.u.v -- if anyone wish to join us can mail me at vikramkyy@yahoo.com..
earlier i was mooving to 25th but could not make it possible so now i am going on 4th sep09..hope i will get company...

All this in 12 days, wow! Post a detailed itinerary and you may get more responses.

thanks vikas --- my trip details are---

hi how are you rajen..

my plan is that first day we will moov from chandigarh.

DAY 1---at 8am will reach to manali in evening night stay at hotel. will arrange water and petrol.

DAY 2-- and next morning at 5 am will moov from manali to chndretaal via-rohtang--batal chndretaal will reach about 1 pm (lunch) and look for place to stay at chndtretaal in tent\camp stay because i wish to explore this place completely .

DAY 3--next morning will moov to chandretaal to rohtang then will reach keylong (7 to 8 hrs drive) and overnight stay in keylong( tent and hotel bith options we have) we will have enought time to see keylong and take nice photos for trip..

DAY 4--keylong to leh about 12 hrs drive via--sarchu --upsi -- overnight stay at leh in hotel.....

DAy 5-- local leh market (thiksey gompa)and will take some to make permits for next destinations. overnight stay..

day 6-- wil moov to khardung-la/ nubra valley.. round trip (aroud 350km) and will cover-- diskit--hunder-- sumur and overnight stay at diskit (in guest house or in hotel) .

DAY 7-- will come back to leh and spend oyr time in local market places in cafes.

DAY 8-- will moov to pangong lake in morning 5 am via--karu(45km)--chang-la (35km) --tanksey(58km)-- pangong lake ( 32km) .. and spend our time aroud lake and will come back to leh same day--

DAY--9.. will spend day in leh and will explore beauty of leh ., and if possible try to go to Tso-moreri otherwise will moove to srinagar .
DAT 10-- srinagar/ Tso-moreri-- night stay .

DAY 11-- if we will go to srinagar then will moove to jammu-- if we will go to tso-moreri then moov to manali----..

DAY 12-- will moov back to jammu to chandigarh or will moove to manali to chandigarh-- depend on a progamme... ..
