Leh under curfew after clashes.

Just a quick heads-up for those plannoing to go there in the next few days:

SRINAGAR: Curfew was clamped on the communally sensitive Leh district of Ladakh after miscreants tried to disrupt the Muharram procession on Thursday. Army had to be called in to help the district administration maintain peace...

Yes, it was the most depressing piece of news I read today morning. Can't imagine that paradise being under curfew!

As of an hour or two back, I've heard that the strife has spread to Srinagar and Kargil too. News flashes on TV show slogans being raised against the Ladakh Adminstration.

WAS JUST WONDERING AFTER THE POST THE LOCATION OF ALL OF US SHOWS MUMBAI INDIA !!!!!!!!!!!! (except mridula)
we r here and c we r concernred about leh which is more than 2500 kmsfar away from mumbai and half the people with less iq ask me leh ladakh woh kya hai ??????? kahan hai woh ??????
and we all have visited the place (i presume) and cant stop thinking of it !!!!!!
that too remove time from our hectic shcedule lives in mumbai !!!!!!!

that s the effect that place can have on u !!!!!!!!!
i am planning to drive down this july from mumbai and have been doing that scince past 3 year s and not suceeded becoz the schedules of my freinds do not match up and i have ended up flying mum-del-leh in last 2 years


this year nothing doing am gonna hire a driver a trusty old 1 and am gonna share the wheel of my qualis with him and c that my MH 04 registration qualis does capture khardungla!!!!!!!!! amongst the JK registered cars there !!!!!
any 1 in mumbai spot s me my vehicle sport s K H A R D U N G L A ?
at it s rear windsheild do care to say a hi !!!!

what i had read was that there is mounting tension over the apparent issue of buddhists tearing pages from the koran. hmmm...when i read the article, i just had a difficult time believing it.
