leh trip by bus...

hi ppl
i am planning to go to leh around 10july2005 with my wife and sis- in law. we are thinking of travelling from manali by this himachal tourism delux bus.
1. can any one tell me how is this delux bus..is it really delux as they claim..
2. which lake should be covered pangong or tsomoriri for good landscape photograph as my main intrest is photography.
3. what are the night halts option at pangong or tso moriri.
4. what are the charges for pangong and tso morir by taxi and also do shared taxis go there.
5. can you guys recommend any hotel in leh in the range of 1000rs for a double room per night.
i have asked too many questions.hope you all will take out some time to reply..

Iwas there last september & discovered the"delux bus"? only runs about twice a week so i got a share taxi & travelled from Leh to Manali in 1 day (16 hrs) some take 2 days & camp overnight at sarchu but i don't think the buses or taxis stop at pangong or tsomoriri it's a bit of a detour from the main highway i think you would need to advertise for like minded people in manali who want to share a taxi to pangong or tsomoriri. Are you flying back to Delhi from Leh? If so i would think about doing your journey the other way round due to altitude sickness! I stayed at the yak tail which was about rs1100. kk

1. Delux bus means its 2X2 bus with gud seats that you can tuck in easily.
2. Well if you look at both the options I would say you cant miss any of em as it would do unjustice to the nature. But Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri are both like the ink spilled on Brown Desert.
3. Night Halt at Pangong Tso would be Spangmik or Man or Khakstet all lying by the side of Lake
NIght Halt at Tso Moriri would be Karzok as thats the last village on that Lake.
4. Frankly saying I am not very much sure if we have Taxi going over to Tso Moriri but Pangong Tso is a more of a valid option I have heard as far as Taxi goes.
5. Well in 1000Rs in leh you can find plenty of hotels, But if specifically asking I will be able to dig out the list.

P.S.: if lookin for photography option why not go to Chandertaal Instead.Quite a Picturesque location in itself.

well my itinerary doesnt allow me to go both at pangong and tso morir asi would also be going to nubra valley and a night halt at hunder camp.
and since you say finding a taxi for pangong would be easy ,so that might be my choice.about chandratal..well ihave to see if taxi,s go there if yes then i might think over this option as well.
