Leh-Nubra Valley

Dear guys,

I'll be in Leh from 10th June 2008 (arriving 6pm) till 16th June 2008 (departing 7am). I would like to know some recommendations for Guest Houses in Leh. Is it feasible for me to self-arrange a trip to Nubra Valley? And what the possibilities of self-arranging accommodation in Nubra Valley?

Thank you.

Hi,

I will be in Leh 6 June - leaving to the Nubra Valley on the 9th June. Would return from the trek 16th June. Would be travelling solo with support. Like to join in?

There is plenty of accommodation available in Nubra Valley, especially in Diskit and Sumur. Which town would you be spending the night in?

Hi Hamid,

there are plenty of guest houses in Leh, depending on your budget. My advise would be, land in Leh and then visit a few guest houses near german bakery, on the shanti stupa road etc. and choose your pick. i will also be in Leh during that time... so will be able to post a few good guest houses names and details then.

happy traveling...

hey guys,

thanks alot for your valuable input thus far.
my friends who were in leh last year recommend Dorje Guesthouse in Upper Tuchka and Asia Guest House.

I'm still weighing up the options..

Is it better to book a 2D1N Nubra Valley tour before-hand or when I arrive at Leh? Which would be a cheaper option?

thanks a million.

Book once you are there, since you can negotiate at that time for better prices and compare it with other travel operator's offerings.
