Kedar,
No disrespect, but all the info is here if you surf a bit, come back if you cant find specific answers.

It can get cold at night, could even go down close to freezing temperature overnight, especially at Pangong Lake or the passes. No, it is very unlikely to rain.
Your timing is too short. You should not try to do Stok Kangri in this little time.

Thank you NonIndianResident (not sure it is the right way to address). If you think the time is going to be short, any alternate itinerary you could suggest assuming 11th evening I will be reaching Leh and leaving Leh 21st or at the best 22nd Sep so that I can extract the best from my stay in Ladakh. I love adventure sports of any form. I chose Stok, as this is a short 4 days trek. However, this will be the first time in Leh and I may be trying to over simply. Pls advise. Thanks & regards - Kedar
Stok Kangri is mountaineering, not a "trek." Any travel agent in Leh can set you up on a good four day trek. Choices are innumerable.
Hi Kedar,
If you are going to Leh for the first time then I'll suggest you to concentrate on visiting various places like Pangong Tso, Nubra valley and places around Leh. Have you done any trekking before? Attempting a trek in Ladakh without any previous experience can be difficult because of the high altitude. So before choosing any trek route please make sure that you have all the details about the route like altitudes, distance, guides, porters etc.

Hmmmm..
Yes the confidence came from the fact that I have done Mountaineering course and few expedition, Ski course and seeveral treking ..however, seeing the expert view, I may have to change my plan. Let me reach Leh first and depending on how I manage myslef I will decide. However, thanks a lot for the good piece of advice - Kedar

Kedar,
If you have trekked before then dont be discouraged by attempting a trek in Ladakh after proper acclimatisation. If you are fiT you will manage. You could manage Markha, which is 6-7 days after a couple of days chilling in Leh.

It's really great to have some expedition experiences and that'll definitely go in your favor. As you are reaching Leh via Manali you'll get some sort of acclimatization on your journey itself, so try to spend first couple of days in Leh and then go for a easy/moderate level trek. Please share the details after completing it, best of luck!
