Following is the itinerary that we followed on our tour to Ladakh:
Day 1, Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali: Ride to catch up with ARians from Poland, as we were 3 days behind them. The Poland expedition led by Sambor & Maciek had taken other Route [ Delhi - Shimla - Narkanda - Kaza - Kunzum Pass - Keylong Day 2, Manali - Rohtang La - Koksar - Tandi - Keylong - Jispa - Darcha - Baralacha La - Bharatpur - Sarchu - Gata Loops - Nakee La - Lachulung La - Pang: The fun starts on the very next day once we cross over Rohtang La. The real adventure Ride starts off here and we enjoyed every bit of it. Day 3, Pang - Tanglang La - Upshi - Karu - Leh: Riding gets tough and words like easy & comfort is no where to be seen while riding in this terrain. We are hit by AMS badly and had to get medical help from Army Medical facility. Day 4, Leh and local sightseeing: Ladakh’s capital, Leh which we explored with no idea as where were the Poland ARians Day 5, Leh – Phyang – Khardung La – Khardung – Khalsar – Diskit – Hunder, 110kms: Crossing over the worlds highest Motor able road at 18,380ft we land up next to Siachen Glacier. Day 6, Hunder – Diskit – Sumur – Panamik – Sumur – Khalsar – Khardung – Khardung La – Phyang – Leh, 200kms: Beauty of Nubra Valley explored. Day 7, Leh – Nimmu – Lamayuru – Khaltse – Kargil: Day 8, Kargil - Sanko - Parakachik – Rangdum (Suru Valley) - Panzi La - Padum: Exploring Zanskar Valley Day 9, Padum – Panzi La – Rangdum – Parakachik – Sanko – Kargil, 245kms: Long ride with little room for a break. Day 10, Kargil – Drass – Zoji La – Sonamarg – Srinagar, 205kms: The start of Kashmir valley. Day 11, Srinagar – Banihal – Udhampur – Jammu, 300kms: Exploring the true beauty of India - Kashmir. Day 12, Jammu - Pathankot – Jalandhar – Ludhiana – Ambala – Delhi, 590kms: Like Day 1 we ride constantly all the way to Delhi and Say Bye to Himalayas just to let her know that we would be back again for more. Did you rent the minibus with driver? Or did you drive yourself? That is a pace I would like to do.

Update:
We have reached Leh now, its the 7th day of the journey. Road conditions are really bad, worst that last 4 years. Rumtse - Leh has good roads, over lay of extra layer has improved the conditions now. TanglangLa pass is now under construction in attempt to build two lane, the conditions would improve within next couple of months. Lahaul Spiti - Roads are in a bad shape after Narkanda. Recommend you all to travel after August once the roads are rebuild. |

FaiyazSultan, thanks for the info and recent update. Very helpful as I myself leave Delhi for Leh on July 2nd by moto. Where in particular are the road conditions "really bad" before Rumtse? Any difficult water crossings? Safety on your journey. Cheers.
