Ladakh Trek in November?

Hi All,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have had to cancel my planned trip to Nepal to trek Everest Base Camp.
So, I am now planning my 4th trip to India but first north of Delhi - to fly into Leh on 8 November.
I am interested to know if it is possible to do any treks in/around Leh at this time of year?
I am really interested in Leh so hopefully it is possible. I have all the cold weather gear required.
Would be keen to hear some recommendations on what treks would be best at this time of year & also any recommendations of agents in Leh to contact for these. Probably looking at a trek between 3-6 days as I also want to visit other areas in Himachal & the Punjab but if there is a 'must do' longer trek I will definitely consider.
Thanks in advance - Kat

Good to see you wanting to visit Ladhak despite the recent tragedy

Stok Kangri trek is one option ( 3-4 days)

for Stok Kangri I know a local operator who has arranged it for my friend couple of times

Markha Valley trek is another

Ps: costs might be a bit higher this year due to the landslide and destruction of many infrastructure

I called my friend in Leh just 12 hours ago about trek after flood. He tod that are sure the Rumtse - Karzok (Tsomoriri) trek and the Lamayuru - Chilling. At present Markha Vally trek has problems. The trail is still broken by landslides . May be in Ocotober-November it will be rebuilted.
I thimk tht it will be very cold, I trekkend in october and in December, never in November.
For a short walk you can try the Shang Sumdo, Matho Pulu, Mancharmo, Stok BC and try the Stok Kangri (but sure snowed (I was there 10 days ago).
If you don't like high altitud trek/climn, you can walk a 3 days Spituk, Rumtse, Stol pass and down to Stok village.
Or (lower) the Himishukpa Ritzong , Likir trek (many getaway rout just in case).
Marco
