Ladakh Ride

I am heading up through Manali to Leh Ladakh on June 15 with a bunch from BulletWalla MC and it seems that my sweet passenger is not able to make the ride so there could well be a seat available to this interesting journey.

We will be stopping at Manali for a few days, Rothang, Ladakh and depending on how long the parties last and how we enjoy the outdoor camp sites and how many bikers come and go depends on how many other places we get to, it may last up to 2 months. It will be pretty much foreigners on bullets or Yaks I suspect but there are always surprises on this annual ride. I will be returning to Delhi by July 4th so only a 20 day trip for me, so if there is any interest in having a bikers experience them give me a PM and we shall see how it unfolds.

Damn. Sounds very good. Wish there were a jeep instead of a bike.

Enjoy yourself

There will be jeeps as there is a support crew with this carrying the food and equipment and a French film crew; this is not your average loose bike trip to be sure.

I hear that they are carrying live stock up by truck with food to keep them happy and healthy until the crowd arrives, which is then to be prepared at the camps. Not for me though, baked beans in dhal is a better option as far as I am concerned.

My leaving date and returning date looks like it may be flexible as we must be here in mother India, it all depends on getting the bike up and running and being happy with it. This is an experimental trip into the mountains running on vegetable oil and it will be nice if I can do the whole trip on mustard seed, certainly an achievement and should add to the media hype on the vege~bike.

My leaving date is well shifting somewhat until some components can be assembled then the bike can be put together and I am away, so one months delay it seems at present.
