Hi yezdiking,
well, I am going on a long trip too but then I will be heading on different dates then what you are looking for. Maps and other planning for the area has never been a concern more over travelling in hills has been my second homecoming. & if you could have given me tips for Mahe and Border areas I will be thankful. Srinagar to Leh
Hello, Yezdiking,
I am also planning to Leh in the later part of June. I want to take bus from Srinagar. Do you have any information about the bus? I only know it takes at least 19 hours but have no idea on the exact time and accommodattion along the way. If you know anything about it, could you please me know? I will be grateful. Gita |

Hi Angus,
If you want to hire a bike, let me know when you want a bike, I may be able to assist you to get a bike. Fuel is tough to get while going towards leh from shimla. But you have fuel stations in Jeori, Recong Peo, Kaza, and Tandi. So should be fine. And on way back no major fight for fuel. For the bike rental.. are you looking for bullet.. you can drop me a PM for more details. CheerS -M-

@angus : you welcome mate.
Well if you hire a bike you have to ride them for about 280kms on plains before you can find starting with the hills but on a personal thoughts its always a privledge ride to start from delhi, you get to know the pottential of your bike to the best and the worst. About license, its not really required but you must carry your passport and you should have complete documents in the bike. Theres lot more about it bt I guess, we will discuss that once you are here. CheerS -M- |
