 ,I am going on the following trip. Month/Date - Mid May 2008 Motorcycle - Bullet Electra 350 CC Duration - Approx ~ 20 Days ---------------------------------------------- ROUTE PLAN ---------------------------------------------- > Mumbai - Chandigarh (Train) > Chandigarh - Manali > Manali - Manikaran Hot Springs - Manali > Manali - Rohtang Pass - Keylong - Sarchu > Sarchu - Gata Loops - Tang Lang La - More Plains - Leh > Leh > Leh - Khardung La - Nubra Valley (Hunter) > Nubra Valley > Nubra Valley - Leh > Leh > Leh - Tso Mori Lake > Tso - Mori - Sarchu > Sarchu - Manali > Manali > Manali - Delhi (End) Please let me know the following: a) What Motorcycle will you be riding? (Make / Year / CC) b) Name / Age c) Sex d) Have you been up there before? e) Pillon? who? Sex? f) Have you any outdoor camping experience? I will be there in leh in last week of may, if u r arbd at that time, may be I can join u for nubra/lakes...I am planning to hire a bike from leh...but looking for a partner, as I dont wanna ride alone. |

There will be plenty of snow at Rohtang, Khardung La and Tanglang La, best time to visit Ladakh is in August.

Liketotravel : June, you would find plenty of Snow on the passes. As Yogesh has just suggested August as the time to cross passes is suitable and I agree.
I had done the tours on August and honestly speaking you will find plenty of rain during Aug 1st week to mid. Best suitable time I guess would be September |
