Hi Shailesh,

How do you plan to visit Ladkah... By Car / Bus / Flight / Motorbike / Bike... I guess there are too many options...

BTW I had been to Ladakh last year and would be happy to guide you for the same.

Let me know your queries....

I think you are planning a budget trip... Try this

1) Fly Mumbai-Delhi and return, so that you might get more time in hills.

2) Book a ticket on Raj Travels Volvo for Delhi-Manali. Good service though the service isn't really timely. www.rajnationalexpress.com or something... If you don't find it, google it out.

3) You shall find lots of taxis at Mall road, Manali. I would also suggest to do it in bus, if you can take the pain. It would be quite enjoyable.

4) There are lot of GH's & Hotels in Leh so don't worry. Go there checkout personally and book it.

5) If you want to travel cheap, you shall find buses that ply between interior ladakh and leh. Moreover at almost all the travel agencies you shall find boards where you shall find good deals for joining other groups.

Hope it helps...

Flying Mumbai-Delhi and back would save more than a day....

Must see...

K-Top, Nubra (Deskit, Hunder, Sumur, Panamik), Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Tso Kar, Lotsa Monasteries here and there... Towards Kargil there are couple of monasteries and Dha Village... Again you can also visit Hanle if time permits...

In leh, I don't think there's much to explore other than Leh Palace... I remember there's a fort/palace on the perifery of the city but don't remember the name !!!

Mas thanks for the link, shared it with a few friends. Just goes to show that even small cars can do this route.

Hi sanjaykumar9,

I just came across your plan,even though I am not going to use your mode of travel to Leh,but still I like your layout of the tour very much;
Would you please tell me, what do you think,can the same trip be carried out at end of May through beginning of June? I mean, Manali-Leh-Srinagar? I think,as it's already mid April,things must be pretty clear now about what one should expect at around that region? Isn't there a talk of Manali-Leh highway being opened by tomorrow?
