Pmjariwala there is no need to plan in that indepth detail

Just be aware that it would be cold , cold winds in roads and nearly freezing winds on high passes.

Day time under the sun will be hot and warm ( depends how you look at it )

As long as you are not planning any long trekking these info should be fine - as you will find shortly after you reach there - pack enough warm clothes especially thermals and woolen socks / gloves and cap

Have some warm clothes too

Enjoy

One important advise

If you guys are not used to wearing thermals especially the lower ones--- its advisable to take a box of powder to be applied before wearing it - otherwise after long hours the thermal kind of sticks to your leg hair and can cause irritation or similar pain ( don't confuse this with rash or such things )

Back from Paradise !!

Hi Guys!!

We are back from the trip...and it was amazing. No adjectives can do justice to the place...Ill like to thank everyone who has given imp. inputs for the trip..

Just a brief account of our trip...we landed in Leh on 19th mornin...and were greeted by fresh snow , had amazing drive to Alchi/Lamayuru driving bye the side of Indus and Fall/Winter trees...Encountered snow @ K-Top on our way to Nubra(it was -20 when we were there), Nubra is amazingly huge..and it was all clear weather on the return to K-top. Changla was decent and pangong was gr8...just our group n no one else at the lake..we had a night stay there..n we did enjoy all the monastries around Leh as well....

The weather was COLD...(every night around -5 or more), but it was fun to enjoy the cold. As mentioned earlier, no adjective would do justice in describing the place...so I won,t try to do it either...will put snaps of the trip ASAP.

Thanks once again to one and all who helped me plannin the trip..which was the 1st for me in Ladakh...but surely not the Last

88 photo album is a teaser ?

nice pics - glad to see you had a great time with your family - do write a trip blog as soon as you can

----------

Just one aspect I wanted to comment on - despite having a good DSLR camera, most of your photos seemed snapshots than photography ( doesnt mean that I am a great photographer - made the same errors during my visit )

Ideally you had lot of great opportunity to take some real great photos only if you have spent little bit more time in composing the snaps - which can be a big task with family around

Having said that - there is always the next time
