Is it possible to enter a restricted area more than once within the permit duration?Say for Pangong Tso is it possible to visit the lake two times with single permit?

i think the permit is good for the full 7 days. Th Dc's office or a travel agent will confirm.

Sorry Captain, since 2007 or 2008 the inner line permits for foreigners in Ladakh have changed a little. They now require a per-day donation to Red Cross and something for wildlife, so you get your permit for a certain number of days (up to 7) and you pay per day.

Yes, in my experience of having those permits, there is nothing to prevent you from exiting and re-entering while your permit is still valid. Be sure to make several photocopies of your permit before departure, in case the checkposts ask to keep it.

Yes definitely possible - just ensure that they dont see you when you come out and then go back in

( sorry never tried that out but I dont think that should be a problem if you ensure that its written in the premit - best thing to do is discuss the matter with your travel agent )

Donation is applicable for Indian visitors aswell if he/she is going via travel agent for the permits
