Interim Permit to Travel Leh

Hi all, We are planing a bike tour from delhi to leh via Manali-Leh highway during september end.
I just wanna know that is there a need of permit for travelling using that highway. And if yes how can I get it.

No permits needed , even for angrezis.

You do not require any permit for travelling on Manali - Leh Highway as well Srinagar-Leh highway. But for travelling in Ladakh region for their border areas you have to obtain inner line permit which you can obtained from DC Office, Leh by filing an application along with Rs. 30/- per day per person fees.

I would also like to know that its possible to travel from Manali to Leh in Sept end.... I mean roads are open at that time

Normally yes , I´ve exited twice in mid-October without problems... but keep in mind what happened last year : extreme but not unique.

I have done this circuit in all months i.e. May to October. September, never created any problem but be alert in October especially after mid-month.

Second half of October is when unofficial deadline is drawn,
