hi... too less time to cover leh and around... when flying, u ideally need one day to do nothing... u need to spend the night at any one of the lakes to get their true beauty captured in your camera and memories... check out the other threads on this topic (written there too)... all the best...

You would need couple of days to acclimatize, but you can do a short trip like Alchi in the afternoon on the second day. As for Pangong Tso vs Tso Moriri, from a tourists point of view, Pangong Tso.

Ladakh experience I just returned from Leh, just today morning and it was a great experience. Here is a brief travelogue, Day 1: Reached leh airport, checked into royal palace hotel, its a neat and clean hotel but not VFM, rested completely that day, had difficulty in breathing and sleeping, so i took Diamox twice a day. Day 2: Went for a short drive to Likir & Alchi monasteries and saw the Indus and Zanskar confluence. Day 3: Drove to Nubra valley, stayed in Sumur in Silk Route Cottages, paid around 2900 for them, the cottages were really bad. The food was inadequate, and during lunch time we had to wait for 30 mins, everything seems to be broken down there, all the guest were complaining, anyways we got a 30% discount later from the owner. Avoid that place at all cost. Day 4: Went for Diksit and Hunder, should have stayed overnight at Hunder (i guess its the most scenic place in Nubra Valley) Spent some time at Hunder and drove back to Leh in evening. Day 5: Drove for Hemis Festival on 26/June, a huge crowd had turned up to see Hemis Festival, it was really worth it. Later in the day we drove for Pangong lake, by the time we reached Changla pass there was a landslide, and we got stuck there for around 4 hours at the top. By the time we reached Tangste it was really late in evening, therefore we decided to check in a small guest house. Day 6: We started for Pangong lake at around 6am in the morning, we were really lucky there were no tourist around, initially the sky was all cloudy, when the clouds cleared the lake turned into blue, it was magnificent, it was exactly the same as we saw in post cards in leh. The only sad thing in pangong was all the garbage which people have left behind, there were packets of chips and bottles of water strewn all over, some places we found there holes in huge amount of garbage had been thrown in. I could only guess that pangong lake would turn like the lake in Nainital, in another few years, if we continue like this. Drove back to leh in afternoon. Day 7: Flew to delhi. And for all the 7 days i took Diamox twice a day, at times i tried to leave it, but then then symptoms of breathlessness started reappearing, so started it back again Hope this helps....

The garbage thing is a problem at Pangong Tso, however there are cleaner places at the shore where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful lake.

this must have been one helluva well-planned trip...! hardly any breathing space, but u did manage most of the places there are to see. hunder definitely is the very best of the places one can stay the night in at nubra valley. during my trip last july, we were lucky to get a new clean decent (and cheap in terms of money) hotel for a night in sumur and two nights in hunder...! lost count of the number of shooting stars that were visible in the night sky in nubra...! heaven, absolute heaven...!!!
