Honeymoon trip Leh Ladakh

I am planning for a honymoon trip to ladakh 2 aug.
Kindly suggest me regarding:
1. Cheapest way to reach Leh from Delhi.
2. current climatic conditions..
3. what sort of clothing wil be needed as i dont want
unnecessary baggage.
4. Are their any ATMs in case of emergency....
5. Best hotels to eat VEG - ONLY
6. And your special advice to make my trip very romantic for my
wifey...coz she isnt much of adventures exactly opp to me...

I have a hundred questions .....more but right now these are on my mind.

1. bus
2. depends on the place you are at and what time of day.
3. dress in multiple layers, make sure you take a cap or something to cover your head on the top of the pass where there are strong cold winds.
4. there are two atms in Leh.
5. plenty of places to eat, but I doubt you will get an exclusive vegetarian restaurant.
6. don't try to cover everything in a short span of time, would leave you exhausted.

If you going to Leh be prepared to road travel for long hours at a stretch. Even if you plan to fly into Leh. Tavel within Leh will need time for sure. Say visiting Pangong So Lake will take approx 5-6 hours one way and then you will spend 1-2 hours by the lake and then return. Keep this in mind !

Don't think they do on any of them. You never see a pic of any of the lakes with a boat.

From an ecological point they are right as boat rides mean spoiling the natural beauty of the lake. Pangong Tso lies two thirds in China (Tibet), so I guess a security issue there as well. So its just watching n enjoying I'm afraid.

Yes there are only two bus service from Delhi - Leh

One is J&K Tourism and other is Private vendor near redfort.

The private bus is semi luxury coach.

J&K bus would be taking the Manali route which you could catch it on ISBT [Bus Depot] ... Its 3 times a week and its no AC bus, would not be comfortable at all while driving down from Delhi - Manali.

First Hault of the bus would be at Chd Bus Depot and next at Manali. Both busses donot stop at Keylong.

We found this when one of our group members were injured and we had to send him back to Delhi ...

I do not know about the volvo bus service to Leh but HPTDC's Volvo services to Shimla & Manali have become very popular and very comfortable.

Yes, there is a bus but not direct.
Volvo would go upto Manali and you would need to switch over to a Semi Luxury one at Manali Bus depot.

You would also get an alternate bus service which is private, its a mini bus which does Manali - Leh daily and would not stop.
How ever, you would need to go to New Manali for that bus, there is a Tourist & Travel company right next to the petrol pump in New Manali, I dont recollect the name or number. They would arrange it for you.

Its safe, you would have to pay a little extra for that as you would find Less of Indians traveling on it. These buses are linked to Resorts all over manali, if you plan to stay at any resort such as [Apple Valley-Kullu], Holiday In [Manali] or Hill View Resort at New Manali, you would get these buses without any issues. I didnt spend much time researching on this so this information could be outdated.

If you are out for your honeymoon and atleast one of you is not as adventurous (as you claim) my suggestion is avoid leh. the beauty is mind blowing but the weather and stuff is very punishing. specially if you plan to go by road. Try kullu or manali instead. I am just back from my ladakh trip and kullu took my breath away. You guys will get more time to yourself in kullu or manali as compared to leh.
