Guesthouses in Rizong, Manggyu or Uletokpo
Does anyone know if there are Guesthouses available in Rizong, Manggyu or Uletokpo?
I am sure that there is a pricey tent-camp in Uletokpo, but i need something cheaper. Thx |

No guesthouses at Ridzong: it's a monastery, not a village. Tourists have been known to turn up and require accommodation and so the monks graciously put them up, but it's not normal for a monastery, and Ridzong is a fairly strict one about behaviour.
There are two or three tent camps in Uletokpo. The two connected ones on the Leh side of Uletokpo are a bit deluxe, but if they've separated, the one closer to the stream might be cheaper. I don't know the prices of the one on the western side of the stream. Sorry, don't know about Mangyu but I expect there will be some kind of simple guesthouse or homestay. |
