Shit. This is serious. There was already a stream flowing through Zing Zing Bar which made it difficult to cross and now this! God knows how many people will be stranded!

Leh: Twenty-seven people are feared dead and many missing as flash floods hit Leh in Ladakh. Reports said 14 people were killed and many injured in a cloudburst during the night.

Old Leh city is worst affected, with the city's main hospital, SNM Hospital, flooded and the main bus stand flattened. Army sources said the airport was still open, but all flights from Delhi to Leh have been cancelled.

The Army's 14 Corps has mobilised 6000 engineers and infantry troops and are using helicopters for rescue.

More details are awaited.

Such a bad news to start a day with! Keep updating and hope that the death toll be minimal.

I had berely managed few leaves to visit Leh.
I don't think airport would be operational very
soon for civilian flight.
