Dont Miss this is Leh!

Hey Friends,

Thanks for your help so far.

As usual time is an issue, I am in Leh only for 12 days so I cannot do it all

What is a must see/do? What should be my perfect itinerary?

Should I skip Nubra for Zanskar?

Should I do either TsoMiri or Pangong Tso or BOTH?

Rafting in chilling a must?

How do you get hold of someone who would find you a Tent in the night to sleep next to must see places?

I am a decent hiker adventurous guy and my claim to fame would be that I have Hiked Grand Canyon and survived to tell the tales (into photography as well). I am there from 12th September onwards

Help...

I have enjoyed Pangong Lake but could not go to Tsomoriri.

I would go to Thikse, Stakna, Lamayuru, Likir and of course Leh itself.

Having been to both Zanskar and Nubra, I'd go to Zanskar if you have the time. Visiting Zanskar will take much more time than Nubra, especially if you're not just going to Zanskar and straight back. Ideally I would hike up to Phuktal in Zanskar, but this takes about 4 days from Padum.

I've been to Pangong Tso, not to Tsomoriri. Pangong Tso was nice, but not a must I'd say.

I don't know what you mean by finding a tent.

You bring your own tent and camping equipment. You can rent this too in Leh and hire a horseman and/or guide.

There are no camps where you can stay. In Zanskar you will see a tea tent occasionally where it may also be possible to sleep. But there is no camping accomodation for hikers.

Awesome.. will do so..

I am planning a short hike from Spituk - Rumchung - Rumbag - Zingchan

What do you think? Will it offer good views/homestays along the way?

Can I do it without a guide? I mean how do you know the way, are the trails more or less set?
