Bike Trip to Leh - query

Hey all

I'm a first timer for a bike trip. I plan to bike to Leh from Delhi. I'm curious to know possible safety/security issues. Is the en-route safe for a female?

A general issue is altitude sickness ; the main point is to get three nights at altitude (2000+) before thinking of sleeping above 4000.

As for gender culture , you are moving in to a context where traditionally women have a stronger position. I would expect less , not more issues.
