beware of defaced milestones in Ladakh

Recently I have visited lahul and ladhak on my bike a bajai caliber chroma. The place is wonderful. There was an only one unfortunate thing I have notice. Far too many milestones are defaced in ladkak. This causes confusion to the tourist and above all serves no benefit to anyone. This is not limited to a particular legion of ladhak I had been to allover ladhak including the forbidden Dha and Bhima village, which are still inhabited by pure Aryan descendents. Far too many milestones are defaced to be a coincidence. I have visited all over India never seen so many milestones so religiously being defaced, so migrant population in ladhak should not be blamed for this senseless act.
So plz be careful before u trust the distance u can see written on the milestone!!!! This might have been doctored!!!!!

Well it is a sad thing, but then again not that important. Any one who is relying on the milestone to know where they are, haven’t done their homework properly and thus should not drive/ride in ladakh!
