Anyone planning Srinagar-Leh-Ladakh in June?

Am planning on Srinagar-Leh-Ladakh in June by road. Anyone out there planning a trip at the same time? Wouldn't mind company. Will be with wife and kids.

I am planning a trip to leh in June on a motorbike from Delhi. The catch is I have to be back in delhi by June 12. I don't know if the passes will open by that time this year. The snow has been particularly heavy this time around.

I am 37/M computer engineer form Mumbai (Bombay) India.

I am planning to travel north india by jeep in June-July-Aug 2005.
My travelling plan is to travel from Srinagar -> Drass -> Kargil -> Leh -> Manali and covering nearby areas. It would be around 15-18 days trip.

Reason in search for a travel partner is to share the travelling and accomodation expenses as travelling by a jeep is expensive in this area.

Anybody interested??

ABOUT SNOW AND PASS IN JUNE :- This year weather disturbance in Himalayas is dramatic and amount of snowfall is also beyong anyone's judgment. I would suggest- take this fact into consideration that you have to plan your tour very very well...even if passes open in June. You have to be carefull when negotiating passes like BARALACHA LA,TANHLANG LA and ZOZILA !

We, a group of 7-9 people (all from IT) are planning a trip to Leh between 12th July to 21st July.

- Pune - Mumbai - Chandigadh - Manali
- Manali - Sarchu-Keylong - Leh (on 4th Day)
- 5 days in Leh and nearby places
- 21st taking flight from Leh-Delhi-Pune

two of us are planning on travelling up to Leh leaving Delhi around the 4th of June. would that fit in with your timing?
We are two Sri Lankan female who have travelled rather extensively.
don't mind doing either route ie Srinaga or Manali. Prefer Srinaga.

if not, any one else out there who would like to share a jeep? I've done the Leh- Manali route before by bus but would like the luxury of stoping off to take photos etc.

We would be 2 of us leaving on 25th May from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil...

Any one around in Leh from 27th onwards? Could team up for Nubra and Pangong / Tso Moriri etc...

we are a family of four, my mom and three sibling (all in their mid and late 20s). we have planned a 10 day trip to srinagar and ladakh. leaving from delhi on the 5th of june. would love to know all i can about the hotels and any safety tios or any information that you guys think will be useful to me. aslo it would be great if you guys could tell me how much would a budget hotel in srinagar and places nearby cost . and the travel between all the places like jummu-srinagar-pahalgam-ladakh. please advice me on all the issues if possible. thanks a lot!!!

hey aren we are 4 people leaving on the 5th or 6th from delhi.lts start off together or else may be we can catch up in srinagar, if you're planning to visit ladakh too. we can think of sharing a jeep or sumthing. lemme know ur travel plan

We are four of us, riding on 150 cc motorcycles. Pulsar, unicorn, cbz.

starting from Jammu on 1st of June, and covering
Jammu, Patnitop, Pahalgam, Soanmarg, Dras, Kargil, Leh and around leh, manali, delhi.

Estimated time would be 14 days.
Any suggestions on this route ?
Anyone doing a bike trip on this route ?

are you planning on using bus/ jeep or driving? two of us are looking to share. but sounds like a plan if we can meet up. as of now the plan is to leave delhi around the 4th go to Srinaga and then on to Leh.
