Any news on Manali - Leh highway???

Hey everyone,

has anyone traveled from Manali to Leh in the last few days Can anyone tell me about the road condition?? Has there been any reports on landslides because of the monsoon rain in HP??

A friend of mine wants to take the bus and is very worried about the trip.

I need some information - urgent !!!!!

hi how are you .
roads are good this time some of my friend have been there by road on 24th aug they informed me that roads are good and weather is also good .. dont worry about roads i am also mooving on 6 sep09 by road so i am quite sur about roads..

I got a series of tweets these last two weeks , which included a smaller landslide that took out the road at Marhi for one day - a lot like when I went up last week June.

Landslides are not uncommon , but usually it means getting delayed no more than a day . Since you mentioned going by bus I take it your friend will stay overnight in Keylong , which will reduce the worst effects if getting snagged on the higher sections of the road - which I´ve experienced a couple of times myself.
