Accomodation Feedback
Accomodation Feedback
Hi,
I want feedback regarding the below mentioned accommodation at various places in Leh. Would you classify them as luxuries compared to the other available accommodation in the same vicinity or not. Any detailed feedback regarding them would be appreciated.
1. Jispa
Should I stay in Hotel "Jispa Ibex" or "Hotel Jispa". Which is better. Are they nearby or located far from each other. Which offers better views and rooms.
2. Sarchu
Are Antrek camps good? Do all of them have attached toilets and showers? Are any other camps better than this one?
3. Tso Kar
We would be camping in some super deluxe camp. I don't know the name. Are they the only option?
4. Tso Morriri
Tsomorir Resort or something like that. Is there really a resort there?
5. Leh -
Is Hotel Mandala a nice hotel? We are pure veg, so what kind of food will be available here? I would prefer a good lavish hotel in leh.
6. Pangong Tso
Are wonderland tourist camps good or Resort Pangong Tso better? I haven't seen any pictures of Resort Pangong Tso, but I found a reference to it from an article online in deccan herald.
7. Nubra - Hunder or Diskit
Camp Tirth. Good enough?
Thanks,
Mihir

Sarchu : There are options, so look around and decide for yourslef. Yes, there are ones with toilets. Forget about showers, there are no tents with shower and it is impossible because of the cold. You definitely care a damn for a shower, it will be a punishment of sorts. I was in one of them recently on 23rd May 2007, and I can tell you that I finished potty with least water ever in my life. You would be crazy to even think of a shower.
Leh : I found Hotel Yak Tail as the decent one. Its the oldest hotel in Leh town and fairly well done.
Pengong Tso: I think at places like Pengong, away from civilisation and in the midst of Shiva's abode, evereything should do if you don't mind. So have no hang ups.
