Arrow 2200kms to Heaven and back.(Pics Added Pg 3)

Its been a weekend drive.... to drive upto my second home.
I have been thinking of this journey from a long time and I had no other option than to drive and be in the lap of mother nature.

Started on thursday at 0300Hrs from home to meet "Hippie at Heart", so as he can give a lower to fight chill conditions. Started from there early to head to hills and the weather was all cool throughout with rain welcoming me on the foothills of Bilaspur.

So, on day 1 : I drove about 15.5Hours out of 17hours journey to reach Keylong by the end of the day, covering 700kms. This journey was one thru water and rough roads. I was cramped up after a long ride with little or no respite with one flat tyre on the way.

Started day 2: Left Keylong at about 8am to wind up my journey in leh by 9:00pm driving through the AMS after crossing Tanglangla headed into the night at Upshi with no help from the big vehicles. I was sick against the High beam of light rays from those big monsters.

Reached Leh to find that there was no place to do a night halt ...all housefull for rest houses and hotels, I can reach for
Now, I needed the help from my old friends and wow...he arranged the best spot in the town for me ...which from my need was more than i could have thought for.

Day 3: Had to meet my friend so rushed with my pal to Alchi to meet my friend who has been waiting for us to be there. Drive to ALchi is equally appealing and eye-licious, Slept there in Alchi.

Day 4: Time to go home...shopped in leh - Hunted Pretty faces
Left leh at about 4pm to reach pang by 8pm driving through snow storm in Tanglangla. ...drove on till hell freezes...scared to hell driving alone in more plains with no one to cross me in whole strech ........

Day 5 : ultimate challenge : left Pang at 5:45am
to challenge my health against AMS..... but it was just uptill Lachungla and then it was gone.... reached rohtang to find out the rains pouring heavy till manali and it was 4 hours in all wet conditions
After rains it was a long drive back home... reached Delhi by 0615hours driving for precise 24hours.... covering 885kms.

I won I won I won I did my first 24hours endurance run.
I I was like wen i reached home...

For people who wanna catch it on video, I have shot it all on a video which will be put on site shortly....

Photos would be put up shortly.

To think I was complaining after a 3 hour ride in the cold this last weekend!

Very impressed though, what kind of bike were you riding?

Relax maxi, all the time I cross moray I look forward for something scary to happen but all I get to see is an occasional lammergear or chough, no blue bolts to split you in two, not even a two horse band of marauding khampas I saw. Honestly it’s that kind of road where you would need to hallucinate to get scared. Perhaps it was fatigue playing tricks on your mind? ..............I am as disapproving of this trip as I was that night. No one of us here on forum heaping kudos on you would have been there if anything goes wrong with you trying to push limits. Getting tumbled off the road at zingzing bar or swept off by fast current at whisky nullah or Darcha Bridge? Endurance is fun when you have back up or people watching you. But manali leh road is not your mall road in middle of night-no traffic in sight, kind of drive. Not to mention you missed on whole lot things around if you would have been driving a bit slower.
Now that you are back home, you know better for future trails. Leave and holidays can wait, accidents wont!!
