|  suggest options before /after staying manali Hello, I have booked hotel applecountry for 12,13,14 Dec ( 3N-4D Package) in Manali. I am willing to travel to Vaishnodevi first., then go to manali .. i need to know Possible ways to reach Manali from Katra. ( which wont make me very much tired). Also, after Manali, I need suggestions for visiting any other near by very good tourism Place like manali (except shimla),something good and adventrous or memorable and a good stay of 1 or 2 Nights. I am resident of indore, and i will take train from indore -Jammu.. then Bus to katra.. and after visiting temple i will follow your suggestions to join manali on 12Dec ( 12.00 PM Checkin time). Thank you. |

 | There are straight overnight private busses from Jammu to Manali. It's a very tiring journey though as the most of the journey is through hilly roads. The route the bus takes is Pathankot - Dharamshala - Palampur - Jogindernagar - Mandi - Kullu - Manali. But then there's no easy route to Manali from Katra. After Manali, you could stay 1-2 nights at the Castle in Nagar, which is 30 mins from Manali. From Nagar you can visit drive on the Nagar-Jana road, which is very picturesque. Quote:
