1. I stayed at Banon Resort in 2007, awesome experience I can say. Although all the hotels are good, but u can check the Log huts, hamta cottage as Kunzum lies on the road (near bridge) and I don’t suggest this to anyone except singles(although this is situated very near to mall road and road that leads to Rohtang).
2. Peach blossom is indeed a good choice. If weather will be ok than you don’t even have necessity to visit Kufri and Chail. 3. Make sure that all the reservations done in advance. |

Thanks Sandeep....for your response...
1. Since Log huts/orchard huts having 2 bedrooms...having 4000K tariff...I think, they won't be fine for only two ppl....Now there is two choice..one is hamta cottage and hadimba cottage...hamta cottage is near by log huts and hadimba cottage is near by hadimba temple.... Have you any idea about hadimba cottage..having more facility than hamta??? 2. I already booked the peach blossom in fagu..hopeingit's exp would be great... |

No idea, but all hptdc hotels almost having same kind of services. The difference inn rate is due to their hotel & room location/amenities.
The cost and facilities are always in proportional except in few cases. |

hi sam1804,
I also booked the hadimba cottage in manali and peachblossom in fagu.... but still not sure about the hadimba cottages ...its having gud facility or not?? In fagu, there is only one best option--Peach Blossom as per my r&d on net....for manali , everyone stating for loghuts/orchad huts...didn't get any review/pics/advice about hadimba cottage...also found some gud hotel like snow valley, banon resorts, holiday inn.... Found one link..having some pics of cottage.... interior of cottage is n't looking good.... http://www.wheelsandroads.com/album/...nali%20(9).php |

http://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserRe...l_Pradesh.html although he has mentioned that view is good but stink and other things are definitely not avoidable ye inside doesn’t look tha good but these are unprofessional photos and most of the hotels they post professional photos on their websites and make things look much different than reality. banon and holiday inn both are double priced than hadimba and snow vally is in the same range however have a look at this photo http://www.tripadvisor.com/ReviewPho...tml#1 7716450 and compare it with the photo posted on their website and there are some negative post remarks about the hotel |

Hi Guys, I want to share my exp with you all. This is feb 2009 exp. Sorry for late posting. I think , it would really help you guys.
For vacation Plan : 2 days is sufficient for shimla, It is better if you spend more time in manali, as per my personal experience. Hotel Experience : I stayed 3 days at Peach Blossom Fagu/Shimla. This was awesome experience. Interior was good. Only one problem , you won’t find very gud restaurant. For that you need to go to shimla. In Manali, I stayed at 3 days at Hadimba cottage. Please avoid these cottage, if you find some good option. As compare to charges, hadima cottage don’t have such facilities. Only location is gud. Overall, I would like to say , Manali is far better than shimla, you will get lot of gud place and awesome weather exp in manali, rohatang pass. Post your query, if you have. Have a nice time! Thanks. |

hi anva,
i will be going to shimla n manali on 16 feb 2010 for a period of 8 days, can you help me on the weather conditions in manali........... i mean sure it will be cold but is it bearable or you gotta cover yourself like a polar bear from head to toe with fur also i plan to travel to manali from shimla by a taxi n then leave it,and then while returning i will hire another taxi,i read it somewhere that in shimla/manali if you make a single side ride they charge you for the return journey as well, now do you think what i am doing is right or should i keep the taxi for all my stay in manali. and could you help me on some nice tour operator in shimla for planning the onward journey i am planning to stay at combermere in shimla and in ambassador resort or river country in manali, what do you think of them ... do you have any experience of these?? waitin for your reply asap.... cheers ![]() |
