As of now the weather is kinda OK. You could see a lot of snow near Rohtang Pass.

Snowfall in Manali

Snowfall probability is mostly in Manali at Rohtang Pass.
Some advice.
Roads from Manali to Rohtang Pass are in very bad condition.
So, it is advisable to start early in the morning say 6am to avoid traffic and construction /repair work which starts at 9am.
At present (Oct 2009) every Tuesdays Rohtang Pass is closed for full day construction work so plan accordingly.
Wearing of snow dress is a must the rent is around Rs150-200 per dress.
In case the snow is far off then you may have to take a horse ride which costs Rs 200 to 300 per horse.
You may have to visit Rohtang Pass twice for complete enjoyment so add extra day in your trip.
Have a nice trip.

As Shaikh said, the road to Rohtang Pass is very bad. Start early around 6 and get good woolen dress (rent-Rs150/Rs200). You could find some snow near the Parking Place itself. We went in October 1st week and we cudnt find snow and we trekked for around 2 hrs to find some snow. Also, you cant stay there after 4. Mist covers the entire place and you cannot see the person in front of you . So, the better you start early the better you can enjoy...Horse rides are OK and they will ask for Rs 800-1000. You can bargain and make it to 300-400. Get some good trekking shoes with you. The Shoes that they provide is bad and quite Slippery.
Other than Rohtang pass you can go to Solang Valley (For ParaGliding), Vashist Hot Springs, Hadimba Temple. It ll take a day to cover these places.
You can also go to Manikaran for Hot Springs and also Kullu for White Water rafting and shopping.

Have a nice trip.

Regards
Arvind

Good information by eeboy. We are actually planning to go on to Manali on 20th Nov. Hopefully Rohtang Pass wont be closed then!
