Manali (Naggar) to Parvati Valley trek (Chandra kani pass) - company/info?
Hello,
I've been volunteering in Malani for 6 weeks and I'd really like to get out and to some trekking. I think most of the major treks aren't possible right now as its still too snowy, but I think this trek over the Chandra kani pass from Naggar to Malana and Jari might be possible - its sounds like its quite easy as well and could be done independently..
Just wondered if anyone had any info about this or, if you're in the area, might be interested in joining me sometime maybe this week or next?
I'll try to check regularly but can't every day.
Cheers!
Helen

I did ChandraKhani pass trek in Oct' 2008 and had a lovely experience.
We started from Naggar and halted at Rumsu .. next day camped at ChandraKhani base camp and last day halted at outskirts of Malana village. Its a wonderful trek; and yes not a treacherous one.
We had used services of Mr. MurliDhar Negi of SnowBird Adventures in Manali; contact details are: "http://www.visitmanalikullu.com/contact.htm"

Hi Helena
I have been researching to do a trek in the Himalayas for the last few days to make the most of some free time I have between jobs. I join my new company on 7th May and looking to do fit a good moderate or easy trek in this (coming from Delhi) between 28th April and 5th May.
Though I was looking at kuari pass etc but finding that that may take more time than I have. I could perhaps join u for the malana trek in case we can fit it into this time window (from Delhi to Delhi) which I think she be possible. What do u think?
There is enuf info on the net and helpful seniors here who can guide us on how to go about it. For starters, I guess this trek would be an easy one and hence would not require guides... Also itinerary help would be very useful
Thanks
