Manali in November

Hi,

I am a newbie around here and have been going through these forums. There is indeed a lot of helpful information here. Thanks, everyone !

I am planning to go on my honeymoon to Manali in the 1st week of November. I was planning to stay there for about 3N/4D. I had a few questions for all you folks.

1) How will be the weather in Manali? Will it be too cold?

2) I was planning to fly to Bhunter using Kingfisher Red (I think this used to be the Air Deccan flight). I wanted to know if this service is reliable. Especially so, because while returning, I will be flying from a connecting flight in Delhi to Mumbai. Is a gap of 2 hours in Delhi enough?

3) I need help on finalizing the hotel. Which of these would be a good option? Log Huts, Manu Alaya and the Apple Country Resort.
Is this the off-season for the room prices for these hotels? Also, are these at a walkable distance from Mall Road? We want to avoid waiting for cabs to even go for say, dinner.

4) Will Rohtang Pass be closed in the 1st week of November? If yes, is there any place nearby where we can see some snow?

Please help. Thanks !

1. weather will be cold in November, come prepared.
2. Bhuntar is amall airport, some times they cancel flights f\due to inclement weather. 2 Hrs. gap is little tight.
3. Log Huts are nice...
4. Rohtang will be closed, you may visit Solang ....

No one knows. Last year , which was an extreme, it was open past last week in November. Buses stopped running second week in December.

When the pass closes you have taxis & buses running up as far as possible , to "snow point". Snowball time !
