It's not too surprising that foreigners go AWOL in that more higher region of India. We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. ~

Thanks. And how about the extra curricular activities? Probably a lot more reserved, I would guess. "When you get into one of these groups, there's only a couple of ways you can get out. One, is death; the other, is mental institutions..."
are the directions the same

I am at kasol and have been trying to find the Green Palace Hotel to get to Bahadur GH but no one seems to know this place. No one knows his name either. Was trying to find the alleyway between the shops all morning yesterday and people wondered if I was mad.
Do you have a phone number I can call Desi at or has the name of the Hotel (green palace0 changed? That's what a local told me when I asked. Would love to move in there - at Shiva's Place at the moment and want to move to a more shanti place with lesser tourists.

Thanks!
Maybe Green Palace isn't there anymore,it was on the right as you walked up the main street from bus stand & the narrow alley between 2 shops was on the left,looks like the alley in this photo but a little further up the street;

An easier way to find it is to go on the main road from bus stand towards Manikaran after 5-10mins walk you'll come to Sandhya Hotel on left, straight opposite this hotel car park you will see some steps going up the hill to left & right, take the steps to right & Bahadur GH is at the top of steps,it's very hidden most people don't know about it.

Krshna, i'd appreciate it if you could get some posters printed from this link & display them around Kasol/Manikaran.

I like Naggar area. Seo Bag....much at ease comparative to Kasol region which is populated by ganja smoking Israelis.
I advice you to not to disclose these kind of things. You never know when bad time starts.

Apparently and according to this article, there is some 'wiggle room' (up to 4 oz) on drug possession laws in this region that make it quite an attractive and worthwhile vacationing locale for recreation drug users, neo-hippies, stoners and your average, everyday goof-offs.

hi all, i never got to go back to india due to some "unforseen circumstances" which were very unfortonate. currently im going to sell my motorbike and scooter and hope to travel back to india in about april. id of liked to have them sold now but now its becoming so close to winter no-one is going to want a bike now. theyre in the garage with both very low mileages so i dont think itl be too much of a problem getting them sold. grizzly how you doin bro, good to hear from you. if you go to india permenantly wont money be an issue?
