Is Manali safe for Solo Female Traveller
Is Manali safe for Solo Female Traveller
I am planning to take some Vaccation,I am travelling alone and I want to go to a place which is very close to Nature, very very calm. So I choose Manali. Is it safe enough to be in Manali alone.
I don't want to do any adventure or anything.I am just thinking to sit on Shore of Beas river and enjoy all nature.Just a break from all World and Materialistic things.
Any other place of same kind??
What hotel is safe to book???

What are you afraid of? For the crimes you are afraid of exists every place on the planet. Just your common sense and you shoul dbe fine.
I do not think there is anythign you should be afraid of as long as you know how to use your head and common sense.

As a lone traveller, it's better to stay close to Manali market, where you have access to everything and secure. Plenty of accommodation options right next to the Beas river. Himachal tourism hotels/accommodation is probably the better ones that i've been to. Check Himachal tourism's The Beas which is on the banks of river beas and close to the market.

+ 1 for Prince09's recommendation. I stayed in the Beas and wrote a bit about it in my trip report

... I will come around to finishing it some time ... hopefully ... :P

Definitely it is!! And you would get the quiet stretches of Beas only near Solang valley or at a few places 10-15kms before manali. Otherwise the area is heavily inhabited.
For the real quiet river stretches you should go to Kashmir. I found Kashmir much better in that regard.
