Hotel/Resorts in Manali - with few caveats
Hi,
Seasoned folks on this forum may find this "hotels in manali?" question repetitive, but guys, I have certain constraints which I am mentioning below...will be thankful if they are answered... We are planning a trip to Manali for 3 days in coming week. Can someone suggest a good clean hotel/resort taking into consideration our following needs: - Budget is 1000-2000 per night. We are a family of 4 ppl so will need 4 beds in this budget - Will like to live somewhere near the river if possible in this budget - Is it better to live near the mall?? I mean, we have our own car so we can travel some distance also, but is parking an issue if we go to manali town? Will it ask for parking the car somewhere else and then walk too much? I have parents with me so I do not want to make them walk alot...can sacrifice the peace and tranquility of the riverside for comfort of being close to necessities if car parking is a problem in the town. (locals...your advice needed here big time, deeply appreciated!) - If, based on above conditions, the ideal hotel/resort for me is near the town, then which one wud be good for family...? I have gone through many travel websites but the difference in their published tariffs is staggering, hence i thot that it might be great if those folks who have lived in manali hotels or resorts may let know the price they paid for their stay, and how good the stay was. Might help me getting a good place at reasonable prices! Thanks a ton! |

I stayed in the Chatel that was at either 1000 or 1500 per night but unfortunately it was away from the Mall. I think parking would be easier away from the Mall and not at the mall but I may be wrong. I hope someone else would come along and reply.

Two hotels I can recollect really next to the river are HPTDC Beas and Lord's Regency. Both offer parking facility. Check out rates for Beas at www.hptdc.in and for Lord's Regency, just google.

Thanks Mridula and Vasuki!
Vasuki, I checked out Hotel Beas, its run by HPTDC...so can you comment on the quality of the hotel, is the service good and the hotel clean? Since its run by a govt dept, hence i have these doubts... |

HPTDC hotels are generally good. This is a budget hotel. Value for money for what you pay
