Hotel for second honeymoon in Shimla & Manali

Hi, Friends...

I am planning to my second honeymoon in Shimla & Manali in this Nov-09. I am looking for decent hotel with good views of valley from room and little bit away from of city. My budget is appox. 1200 INR to 1500 INR.

Please suggest me name of hotels for honeymoon.

I have short listed hotel at Shimla & Manali. I want IMer's suggetion of the same.

Hotel sunrise villa, Shoghi, Shimla (Rs. 900/day)

The sunrise villa is 13 km away from Shimla. I need help for public transportation (Bus/shared taxi) between Shimla & Shoghi. Please give information about the same. I come to know that sunrise villa is 1 km far from Shoghi bus stand/main bazzar on Taradevi temple road.

So, Is it advisable to walk of 2 person between villa & bus stand at evening or daylight ?

Green Swiss Cottage, Manali. Deluxe Room (Rs. 999/day)

The Green Swiss Cottage is 2.5km from Manali mall road. I think at Manali I am able to get some rikshaws for reach cottage. But I don’t have any idea for fare of rikshaws. Pl. let me know.

Please give me your reviews on both the hotels and transportions and alternatively you can suggest me other hotels also.

In Shimla, HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) buses usually packed to full capacity run between important points.
I have not seen any auto rickshaw in Shimla. Please confirm.
In Manali, two Auto stands are available at Mall Road ends. Elsewhere, the autos are not easily available. They charge Rs 40 to 50 for 1.5 Km distance. Fix your fare before you sit in. After 9pm it is very difficult to catch an auto and whatever is availble charge 1.5 times the day charge. Private taxis are also availabe from Mall Road for dropping at hotels. They charge Rs 80 for 1.5 Km distance.
