HELP>>INFO on visiting Rewalsar

HI everybody,.

am planning to make a short trip to Rewalsar in Himachal in coming few weeks. So in this regard, i would be grateful if anybody can help me with some details;

I will be boarding off Kalka station most probably..so from there, how to go about to Rewalsar? the taxi fare, buses availability, or is it wise to go straight to shimla and visit rewalsar the next day while making the return trip to delhi?

PS: I am looking at alternatives of making a visit to manali or dharamsala while visiting rewalsar also... trip will be staring from delhi..pls advise

Assume you mean Revalsar lake near Mandi? In this case from Kalka or Shimla it will be a very long trip. Why not to start in Mandi? It is just 1 hour bus ride from there.

somebody pls help me arrange an itinary to visit rewalsar, and some hot springs in and around there, esp manikaran. would also love to spent a day in manali.
my trip wouyld start from delhi, but i wish to travel till kiratpur sahib by train... pls advise me from there..thanks

Not sure exactly what you want to know, but it may help if you say how many days you have. If it's a quick trip then skip Shimla & leave the train at Chandigarh where you can get a direct bus to Mandi,from Mandi town centre it's 1hr by bus to Rewalsar. there is a town south of Mandi who's name escapes me right now where you could jump off the bus & take a taxi to Rewalsar cutting out Mandi. To get to Manikaran take a bus from Mandi to Bhuntar & then change bus to Manikaran,it will be verrreee cold in Manikaran, so try for a room at hotel with hotbaths they are usually warmer. KK
