Reason: some words are misspelt
i didnt stay there but met people who stayed there.
rooms are good, hospitality is good but they said the food wasnt so good.
i think its rooms are on map basis. it is in the centre of the mall road, good location.

HPTDC's Hotel Beas has a far better location, right on the river front. The Hotel is an economy one, but the feeling of staying close to river Beas more than makes up for any lack of luxury in the Hotel !
Whoever said money can't buy happiness didn't know where to shop !
We stayed at the Kunzam for a couple of nights last September, mainly because it was near the bus station and we had to catch an early morning bus to Spiti.
The accommodation (normal double room) was clean and comfortable and the place looked well cared for and maintained. Manager and staff were welcoming and efficient.
Our only problem was the availability of the meals. We went down for dinner the first evening and spent ten minutes looking through the menu, finally choosing a chicken dish that we had never heard of before. When the waiter came we gave our orders. He smiled and said "Sorry sir, off-season, only chicken curry is available". We headed down to the Mountview for a Chinese!
As long as you're not there in the off-season I imagine there is more choice of food, but if not, then the Mayur (Indian), Chopsticks and the Mountview (Chinese), as well as many other eating places, are only a couple of minutes walk away.
All together, it was a good place to rest up after the long bus journey from Leh and prepare for the next leg of our travels, to Spiti and Kinnaur.

as Kunzam is in the centre of Mall road, you shouldn't worry about the food, as you can just step out of the Hotel and there are 10-20 good restaurants serving all kinds of Food be it Veg, Non-Veg, Indian, Continental, Chinese, Israeli, even German Bakery is there.
The people who were with us told us that the Buffet wasnt good as we had been there in Dec end and at that time in all HPTDC hotels Breakfast and Dinner were included in the Tariff.

Even without meals, the price you've been offered for a deluxe double bedroom is great ! Take it!The night temp. at Manali in mid-March will certainly be at the 10 deg. C mark, if not lower.
Enjoy yourself !!
Hi!
The hotel is good and for practical problems etc - I would choose that.
I would like to point out some not so nice things about it.
Meals as people have said here IS a problem in the hotel but there are lots of places nearby. You are in the 'MALL'!
The whole structure (building style) is very 'hotel' like..I don't know if you understand that.. I prefer smaller places with a nice 'private' garden. I prefer to take any nice places with a valley view on the road a bit further to the Hidimba temple in Dhoongri. That way, you stay close to the mall and yet away from the noise.
As far as booking is concerned, it is never a problem to find a nice place... You can easily find a lot of nicer places for that price.
Some people prefer the old manali area or the Vashist area (quite far from centre) - these areas are surrounded by the old style of houses and feels much warmer and old world like.
SO maybe for a four day stay - it is better to take someother place. But the choise is yours.
sorry for adding to your confusion.

I'll agree with Mountaingirl: "You can easily find a lot of nicer places for that price." JUst because it's 40% off their regular price doesn't mean it's a bargain.
