Delhi-Shimla-Manali-Jaipur-Agra-Delhi trip

Hi,
I planned to visit Shimla stay for 2 days and then proceed to Manali be there for 3 days. From Manali if I have to go to Jaipur do I need to come back to Delhi and go from there or is there any other route available.

you will have to come back to delhi
that does nt mean you have to necessarily get into delhi you can bypass it how are u travelling let me know

Hi Saajan,
From Delhi I reserved berth in HWH-Kalka mail and Kalka-shimla by shivalik deluxe. Rest is not yet planned. Planning to take bus from Shimla to Manali and then if I have to come back Delhi will take Volvo bus. Any suggestions.

Yes, you dont have a option you will have to come back to delhi and from ISBT catch another bus to Jaipur.

yes volvo bus will be a good way to travel the road s from delhi to manali are flat till chandigarh and then onward s it s mountain s but the road s are in great shape it s nh 1 and then nh 22

the road from manali to chandigarh shall be downhill and then from chandi garh to delhi good road s flat high speed travel and the volvo stip s at good places where u can answer nature s call and have snack s /lunch etc

delhi jaipur is also good road fast travel one of the best in country

Thanks for your replies. Can you suggest me places to visit at Shimla and Manali.
I will reach Shimla on 6th Afternoon and planning to leave to Manali on 8th evening from Manali to Delhi on 12th evening.Please suggest best itenary which fits my dates, also suggest good local sightseeing tour operators.

in that case I will extend one day in Shimla, leave Shimla on 9th evening and manali on 13th evening.I will cut Jaipur from my itinerary. Can you sugggest local sigthseeing operators?

u will get many but talk to a few of them and u can go to kufri you should find snow there !!!! maybe

You'd get snow if not in kufri then in narkanda,Near manali you'd get plenty of snow,
In Shimla,you can see the visceragal lodge,christ church,jakhoo temple,the mall and the ridge area.Kufri,naldehra etc.
In manali you can see hadimba devi temple,jagatsukh,old manali,solang valley,plachhan,kothi,naggar etc.
Buy a good travel guide like outlook traveller(100 holidays in hills) and you wouldnt require guides.

Hi there shrikrishnad. Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is Shivalik deluxe?

Is this a bus? I also have booked on the Kalka train but not sure how to get to Shimla from Kalka. Many thanks for your kind assistance.

From Kalka you can either take the Himalayan Queen or take bus/taxi to Shimla.

There are Volvo buses from Chandigarh that have destination at Jaipur but I do not know which route they take.

There is a nice route via Ambala ~ Hisar ~ Churu ~ Jaipur which I took by bike, very nice roads, great ride. Chandigarh to Churu is about 8 hours.
